This month has been another vibrant one at both Tahmoor Studios and the Moss Vale Arts Factory, as they continue evolving into dynamic hubs for music and art. It’s inspiring to witness artists, musicians, and community members coming together to collaborate, learn, and create in these thriving spaces. During the school holidays, we hosted an exciting line up of workshops—from music and urban art to ceramics—plus a few road trips with the bus to remote villages to bring music and art to new communities! Looking ahead, we’re thrilled to be part of the official launch of the Wollondilly Performing Arts Centre, with our Youth Bands taking the main stage to support the Rogue Traders. On December 14th, we’re gearing up for our own River Fest and the release of the annual student album, along with other exciting community events!! See you in the studio! Pat

River Fest 2024!! Save The Date - 14th December from 2pm River Fest is back for 2024, we where are booked into the brand new Wollondilly Performing Arts Centre, providing a world class performing space for all things River Road to present, exhibit and perform. Student performances will kick off form 2pm, with community groups including our youth bands, Dilly Choir, and Mens Music Cave, commencing from 6pm. |

October Holiday Expression Sessions at Moss Vale It’s inspiring to see the Factory buzzing with creativity as young artists and musicians bring their talents to life! Featuring Raku firing with Yahuna and Ben, urban art sessions with Joe, and vibrant music-making led by Shardae and Adam, this project is a highlight of the Spring Holiday Break program, proudly supported by the Office for Regional Youth. |

Student Works 2024 This year, we’re once again supporting all students in contributing to our annual Student Works album! We’re excited to provide opportunities for each student to produce their own creative piece—whether it’s a song, a few guitar chords, artwork, film, or a computer program. Carols in the Gardens - 6th December Our Dilly Choir is thrilled to be back on stage for this year’s Wollondilly Carols in the Garden - at Picton Botanical Gardens. They’ll bring festive cheer and holiday spirit to the community with a beautiful line up of classic carols! |

SBig Bang Street Party - Wollondilly Performing Arts Centre Launch We’re thrilled to be part of the official launch of the Wollondilly Performing Arts Centre, where our Youth Bands will take the main stage to support the Rogue Traders, showcasing the incredible talent and potential of our young musicians! Our Ramshackle Orkestra will also be there, delivering world music and funky beats to keep the energy high. And don’t miss our Mobile Studio, ready to help create some music and make some noise! |

Introducing our Bursary Fund! The Bursary Fund is designed to provide financial assistance to students and families to help cover tuition, materials, or other education related expenses. The River Road Bursary Fund is supported through: A portion of ticket sales from our Remedy Sessions and other ticketed events Donations from local businesses, charitable organisations, and families Government grants
The bursary can be applied as a reduction in tuition fees or used to cover specific costs such as instruments, art supplies, or participation in special programs. By offering this support, the Bursary Fund ensures that all people have access to high-quality music and arts education, fostering inclusivity and nurturing the next generation of artists and musicians. Art Therapist Scribbles Art Therapy now at Moss Vale Arts Factory Kate Friesenecker has joined us at the Moss Vale Arts Factory, where she is leading a range of art programs and art therapy. Kate recognises art as a powerful tool for improving mental health, helping to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. Through art therapy, Kate taps into the natural creativity within each of us to foster self-expression, emotional healing, personal growth, and transformation. Coding and Robotics at Tahmoor Do you have a budding computer scientist in your home? Do they play Minecraft or Roblox and dream of designing and creating their own computer game one day? 8 Week Program, Saturday mornings 10:30am-11:30am Coding Club currently at our Tahmoor Studio! These weekly 60 min sessions are designed for kids to have fun and get creative while exploring the exciting world of creative coding and robotics. Reminder we have Pat as our own Registered Music Therapist! To attain this distinction, Pat successfully completed a Master of Music Therapy and fulfilled the registration requirements with the Australian Music Therapy Association. Music therapy is a therapeutic approach that uses music and musical elements to address the physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of individuals. Music therapists are trained professionals who use their musical expertise to help people achieve specific therapeutic goals and enhance their overall well-being.
